The department of agricultural education, communications and 4-H youth development recognized five students as its outstanding students for the 2005-2006 academic year. The Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Freshman awards are the highest honor within the department and are given to one student for each major within the department. Outstanding student awards were given to Courtney Hentges, Outstanding Senior in Agricultural Communications; Jonathan Holloway, Outstanding Senior in Agricultural Education; Chelsea Frost, Outstanding Senior in Agricultural Leadership; Jillianne Zweiacker, Outstanding Freshman in Agricultural Communications; and Ashley Middleswarth, Outstanding Freshman in Agricultural Education.

Hentages & Sitton

 

Hentges is from Perry, OK. She was a member of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Kappa Delta Sorority, Ad Club, Public Relations Student Society of America, and President’s Leadership Council.

 

 


Morgan & Holloway

 

 

Holloway is from Chattanooga, OK. He was a member of Collegiate FFA, Alpha Tau Alpha, and is the curent agricultural education teacher in Calera, OK.

 



Pennington & Frost

 

Frost is from Tallula, IL. She is a member of Oklahoma Collegiate Cattlewomen and was named the 2005-06 cattlewoman of the year. Frost is also active in the Illinois Junior Angus Association and the Society of Collegiate Scholars.

 


Blackwell & Zweiacker

 

 

Zweiacker, a sophomore from Pawnee, is a facilitator for the presidents leadership council, a freshman representative council coordinator, member of Alpha Zeta, an Agricultural Ambassador, and the vice president of academic excellence of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

 


Ramsey & Middleswarth

 

 

Middleswarth, a sophomore from Torrington, WY, is active in Collegiate FFA, NJAA, Block and Bridal, and acts as a career liaison.
